Reasons for Change in Appropriation

This appropriation was forecast at $387,000 in the Serious Fraud Office's Statement of Intent for 2007/08. The decrease is mainly due to the deferral of capital expenditure associated with the implementation of the new civil forfeiture regime due to the delay in enactment of the Criminal Proceeds (Recovery) Bill.
