Investment statements
Describes and states the value of the Crown’s portfolio of significant assets and liabilities, and how this has changed from the past, and how it is expected to change in future. Produced at least once every four years.Long-term fiscal position
At least every four years the Treasury produces a Statement on the Long-term Fiscal Position of the government, looking at least 40 years into the future to examine the potential effects on our economy of long-term macroeconomic trends.Long-term insights briefings
Information about medium and long-term trends, risks and opportunities that affect or may affect New Zealand and New Zealand society; information and impartial analysis, including policy options for responding to these matters. Produced at least once every three years.Wellbeing reports
In 2020, the Public Finance Act (1989) was amended to require the Treasury to produce a wellbeing report at least once every four years. Using indicators, the report must describe: the state of wellbeing in New Zealand; how the state of wellbeing has changed over time in New Zealand; and the sustainability of, and any risk to, the state of wellbeing in New Zealand. Produced at least once every four years. The first wellbeing report, Te Tai Waiora: Wellbeing in Aotearoa New Zealand 2022, was released in 2022.
