Treasury Advice on the Reserve Bank's Proposed Scope of Remit Advice Information Release

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand is conducting the first review of the Monetary Policy Committee’s Remit (the Remit Review), as required at least once every five years under the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 2021. As required by the Act, the Reserve Bank consulted the Minister of Finance on the scope of its advice. The Reserve Bank has published its Ministerial Advice on the Reserve Bank website. This proactive release is of Treasury’s advice to the Minister of Finance to inform his response to the Reserve Bank.
