In 2007 Treasury released a report outlining its position on New Zealand’s saving performance.
The paper provides an update on the saving landscape based on recent information and studies - and concludes that on balance further or stronger pro-saving action by the Government is justified.
The report brings together work and new information from within and outside the Treasury, and represents the current Treasury view.
