Contemporary Issues in Monetary Policy Workshop Information Release

In October and November 2016 the Treasury released papers commissioned for a workshop on monetary policy.

In October 2016, the Treasury held a workshop exploring contemporary issues in monetary policy. To support this workshop, the Treasury commissioned two papers from international experts. Stephen Cecchetti’s paper discusses the interactions between monetary, fiscal and prudential policy. Stephen Grenville’s paper outlines the international environment following the Global Financial Crisis and discusses policy implications that are relevant in a New Zealand context.
