Information for depositors with Crown guaranteed institutions under the Original and Extended Retail Deposit Guarantees Schemes that triggered the guarantee.
The Crown's Extended Retail Deposit Guarantee Scheme ended on 31 December 2011. Some deposits with the Public Trust continued to be covered under the Public Trust Act but no deposits with other financial institutions are guaranteed by the Crown for any default after 31 December 2011.
Eligibility Criteria#
Eligibility criteria that include citizenship and tax residency applied in the event of a default by entities approved for the Extended Retail Deposit Guarantee Scheme that ran from 12 October 2010 to 31 December 2011.
