Data release

Productivity Commission Website URLs Mapped to Treasury Website URLs

Following the decommissioning of the Productivity Commission website (productivity.govt.nz) the Treasury has released a data file that maps the productvity.govt.nz URLs of migrated web pages and files (primarily PDFs and MS Excel files) to their new URLs on this Treasury (treasury.govt.nz) website.

The purpose of the data file release is to support researchers and other stakeholders of the Productivity Commission who may have cited the Commission's inquiry reports, submissions received, research papers and corporate documents and need to know whether or not they remain in the public domain, and if so at what new URL.

Where legacy files and pages did not migrate to the Treasury website these are indicated in the data file's 'Migration to Treasury website status' column. The data file is a partial inventory only of the legacy website because all image files are excluded from the data file; with one exception, images did not migrate to the Treasury website.

The data file is available in two formats:

  • CSV - Is machine readable. Is in Unicode UTF-8 format for te reo Māori macron support.
  • MS Excel - Has filters applied to the data file column headers to allow for filtering and sorting and includes the Data file columns table below in a separate sheet.

The data file represents the Treasury's best efforts with the information available to it during its work to support the disestablishment of the Productivity Commission and the Treasury has no plans to improve the data set or issue further updates.

The Treasury has also supplied in the data file a URL for pages or files in snapshots made by the National Library's National Digital Heritage Archive (NDHA). See the National Library catalogue entry for the New Zealand Productivity Commission website snapshots.
