The Strategic intentions inform Parliament and the public about the Treasury and its role as the Government’s lead economic and fiscal advisor, and steward of public service financial management.
Strategic intentions convey what the Treasury’s strategic objectives are over the medium-term, along with how we will manage our functions and operations to achieve or contribute to these objectives.
Strategic intentions are part of the Treasury’s regular performance reporting. Our annual report to Parliament includes an assessment of progress in relation to the Treasury’s strategic intentions.
Strategic intentions were previously known as a Statement of intent. For the Treasury's older Statements of intent see Publication search: Statements of intent by the Treasury.
