Abstract
Business and Economic Research Limited (BERL) partnered with Te Pūtea Matua, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand to produce this report, which will inform and support iwi, Māori, businesses, and the government in its decision making about future economic development and wellbeing of Māori and Aotearoa.
The report was written during the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, providing a snapshot of Māori economic activity just before the pandemic, and expands on BERL’s 2013 work by providing a richer description of the many roles Māori play in the economy of Aotearoa.
You can find Te Ōhanga Māori 2018 report on the BERL website.
