Biography
David graduated MA and DPhil from Oxford University, and went to Nottingham University as a lecturer in 1993. He was subsequently a professor at Leicester University, before moving to Otago in 2004. David's research interests are mainly in the areas of development macroeconomics and quantitative political economy. Current interests include the economics of violent conflict in the Middle East, monetary unions in Sub-Saharan Africa, and the volatility of aid to developing countries.
