Following the release of the 2014 Investment Statement, the Treasury is continuing its series of seminars aiming to foster ongoing interest and discussion on matters relevant to managing the Crown’s balance sheet.
At this seminar senior representatives from the global reinsurance company, Swiss Re, will offer their perspectives on how established private sector practices in enterprise risk management are increasingly forming the basis of risk principles in the public sector, including the formation of Country Risk Offices. This seminar will cover:
- Interconnectivity of contemporary risks.
- Integrated risk assessments.
- Risk governance: defining the roles and responsibilities of who “takes” “owns” and “controls” risk.
- Risk prioritisation as a basis for allocating resources to prevent, mitigate or transfer risk.
- Examples from over overseas countries.
This seminar will be of particular value to those with an interest in asset, liability or risk management, and those who would like a greater understanding of specific issues relating to the Crown’s balance sheet.
