Find out about the Māori and Pacific finance networks, how they’re supported, and how to join them.
The Government Finance Profession (GFP) team at Treasury supports networks focused on Māori and Pacific representation within public sector finance.
These networks aim to attract and develop Māori and Pacific finance professionals within government with a focus on the needs and experiences of these communities.
This includes promoting the government finance profession as:
- providing mahi that helps improve the wellbeing of people and communities
- having a rewarding career path and excellent training opportunities
- providing a great variety of work across different government departments, such as Environment, Health and Education.
The project teams behind these networks work closely both with each other and with government agencies and professional bodies in achieving this mahi.
