The Treasury holds one day Gateway Training and Awareness Workshops.
The workshops target the following groups:
- Training prospective Gateway Reviewers from the public and private sector
- public sector leaders who want to use Gateway to pre-empt problems, lift programme performance and achieve the benefits from investments
- sponsors and directors whose investments required Gateway reviews so that they gain an appreciation of how Gateway works, and how to gain most benefit from a review
- Project and assurance managers who might want to use Gateway processes within their agencies to support and assure projects that fall outside the Treasury’s Gateway criteria, or to understand how Gateway reviews work and how they can help projects in their organisation.
The workshops are designed around a realistic project case study and cover the principles and techniques of the Gateway Review Process. The training is a prerequisite for becoming a Gateway reviewer.
