New Zealand Infrastructure Investment Summit 2025

The New Zealand Infrastructure Investment Summit 2025 was held in Auckland on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 March 2025.

The Prime Minister the Rt Hon Christopher Luxon and the Minister for Infrastructure Hon Chris Bishop hosted the Summit. The Treasury led the planning and delivery of the Summit and was supported in this role by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE).

The Summit supported the Government’s economic strategy of growing economic prosperity by aiming to lift foreign direct investment. Greater foreign investment and increased partnerships can help bridge the gap between domestic savings and the country’s investment needs, including New Zealand’s significant infrastructure gap.

The purpose of the Summit was to showcase the Government's economic growth agenda and to demonstrate that New Zealand is open for business. The Summit programme was focused on three pillars:

1. New Zealand’s infrastructure vision and upcoming public infrastructure investment and development opportunities
2. Changes to policy, regulation and legislation to make it easier to do business here
3. Other investment opportunities in growth sectors and the Māori economy.

Attendance at the Summit was by invitation only, bringing together over 100 senior executives from global and domestic infrastructure investor, financier, sponsor, construction, asset management and consultancy companies.
