Cath has over 25 years of policy experience in the public sector.
She spent the last 6 years as part of the Executive leadership team at the Inland Revenue and was critical to leading their Business Transformation programme. Most recently Cath was the Deputy Commissioner, Customer and Compliance Services - Business where she led the delivery of services to business customers across the country. Prior to this role Cath was the Deputy Commissioner, Policy and Strategy. She was responsible for the delivery of tax policy advice to the government.
Before moving to Inland Revenue, Cath held the position of Deputy Secretary, Macroeconomics and Growth at Te Tai Ōhanga, where she led the Treasury's work on settings to promote economic growth and a stable macroeconomic environment. Cath has held a range of senior leadership positions during her time at the Treasury, including Deputy Secretary, Strategy, Change and Performance.
With a background in economics and international trade, Cath holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Economics.
