Administrative & Support Services Benchmarking Report for the Financial Year 2011/12

The third annual Benchmarking of Administrative & Support Services (BASS) report provides information on the cost, efficiency, and effectiveness of administrative & support (A&S) services in the State sector.

Results cover six A&S service functions across larger departments and Crown entities over three reporting periods (FY 2009/10, FY 2010/11 and FY 2011/12).  The report is a key deliverable from the annual A&S service benchmarking exercise, which provides management information to support value for money assessments, target-setting, and tracking of improvement over time. It also provides a picture of each function across agencies, including larger cross agency improvement programmes.
