Delivering better public services within tight financial constraints is one of the government's priorities for this term.
As part of this, government agencies need to ensure they delivers the high quality, flexible and cost-effective public services that New Zealanders value. Government has set agencies ten challenging Results to achieve over the next five years. Each Result area has a published plan - a guide for how changes will be achieved to make a real difference to the lives of New Zealanders by: reducing long-term welfare dependence; supporting our vulnerable children; boosting skills and employment; reducing crime, and improving your interaction with government.
