- Released 8 May 2012. Total unconsolidated tax revenue for the nine months to March 2012 was $1,404 million (3.0%) below the 2011 Pre-election Economic and Fiscal Update (2011 PREFU) forecast and $1,689 million (3.9%) greater than the same period last year.

- Budget Policy Statement 2012
- Released 16 Feb 2012. The Treasury has published the Budget Policy Statement (BPS) 2012. The BPS 2012 sets out the overarching policy goals that will guide the government's Budget decisions and the government's priorities for the forthcoming Budget. The BPS 2012 includes an Economic Outlook section prepared by the Treasury as a brief refresh of its most recent economic and fiscal forecasts in the Pre-election Economic and Fiscal Update 2011.

- Released 7 Feb 2012. New Zealand's economic outlook has weakened since the Pre-election Economic and Fiscal Update (PREFU) forecasts were finalised in September last year, mainly as a result of the escalation of the euro area sovereign debt crisis and its impact on the rest of the world.
