Tax Outturn Data April 2011
Released 7 Jun 2011. Total unconsolidated tax revenue for the ten months to April 2011 was $47 million (0.1%) below the 2011 Budget Economic and Fiscal Update (2011 BEFU) forecast and $2,205 million (4.8%) greater than the same period last year.

The Treasury's Performance Improvement Framework Review
Released 27 May 2011. The State Services Commission has today released a second round of Performance Improvement Framework (PIF) Formal Review reports for five State sector agencies, including the Treasury. The Treasury has released additional material relating to the review of its performance using the Performance Improvement Framework.

The Treasury launches living standards framework
Released 25 May 2011. The Treasury has today launched a paper, Working Towards Higher Living Standards for New Zealanders, that provides a descriptive framework of the factors that it considers are essential to national well-being.

Media Statement: Release of first Requests for Proposals on Mixed Ownership preparatory work (COMU)
Released 24 May 2011. Following announcements in the 2011 Budget that the Government intends to further pursue a mixed ownership model and take that policy to the election in November 2011, the Government has instructed Treasury to undertake preparatory work on extending the mixed ownership model to Genesis, Meridian, Mighty River Power, and Solid Energy and to reduce the Crown’s majority shareholding in Air New Zealand.

Updates to Fiscal Strategy Model and NZSF Contribution Rate Model
Released 19 May 2011. The Treasury has published updates to its Fiscal Strategy Model and New Zealand Superannuation Fund (NZSF) Contribution Rate Model. The models incorporate information and data used in the preparation of the Budget Economic and Fiscal Update 2011.
Extending the Mixed Ownership Model for Crown Companies - Information Release (COMU)
Released 19 May 2011. The Crown Ownership Monitoring Unit (COMU) of the Treasury has released advice to Ministers relating to extending the mixed ownership model (where companies are partly owned by the Crown and partly owned by private investors) to four state-owned energy companies.
2011/12 Domestic Debt Programme (NZDMO)
Released 19 May 2011. The New Zealand Debt Management Office (NZDMO) announced today details of the Government’s 2011/12 domestic debt programme. The NZDMO intends to issue up to $13.5 billion of bonds in 2011/12.

Monthly Economic Indicators April 2011
Released 2 May 2011. Data released in April provided further insight into the effects on the New Zealand economy of the devastating February earthquake. While the earthquake has caused considerable disruption to economic activity in Canterbury, business confidence elsewhere has rebounded supporting our view that the New Zealand economy continues to recover, albeit gradually.
Final Report of the Review of Expenditure on Policy Advice
Released 28 Apr 2011. The final report of the Review of Expenditure on Policy Advice, which was chaired by Dr Graham Scott, was provided to the Minister of Finance, Minister of State Services and the Minister for Regulatory Reform in December 2010 and has been released today.
