Towards an Open Budget: Stakeholders' views on how New Zealand's Budget could be more accessible
Released 26 Jul 2017. The Treasury is the lead agency for "Commitment 1: Open Budget" in the New Zealand Open Government Partnership National Action Plan 2016-18. As part of this work, the Treasury has released a report on stakeholder research it commissioned from Colmar Brunton titled "Towards an Open Budget: Qualitative report to understand stakeholders' views on how New Zealand's Budget could be more accessible".

Released 14 Jul 2017. The Treasury has released documents relating to Budget 2017 in response to and in anticipation of requests for Budget-related information. The documents released cover design of the Budget process, Budget strategy, Ministers' briefings, Cabinet papers and minutes and other material relating to specific portfolios.
Tax Outturn Data May 2017
Total unconsolidated tax revenue for the eleven months ended May 2017 was $997 million (1.3%) above the 2017 Budget Economic and Fiscal Update (2017 BEFU) forecast and $5.6 billion (7.9%) greater than last year.

Released 25 May 2017. The Treasury today released Budget 2017 documents. All documents are available from the main Budget 2017 home page on the Treasury website and from a dedicated mobile responsive Budget site at www.budget.govt.nz.
Analysis of District Health Board Performance Information Release
Released 5 May 2017. The Treasury has released two reports prepared for the Ministers of Finance and Health that analyse the performance of District Health Boards (DHBs) against a set of indicators. The most recent report is District Health Board Financial Performance to 2016 and 2017 Plans, but a report covering the 2009-2013 period has also been released.

Released 28 Nov 2016. The Treasury has released its advice to Ministers, prepared jointly with the Ministry of Health, on a lessons learned review of the pilot social bonds procurement process.
Trans-Tasman Banking Council
Released 20 Mar 2017. The Treasury has published information about its participation in the Trans-Tasman Banking Council (TTBC), a working group that aims to promote the coordination of trans-Tasman bank regulation and supervision. The updated terms of reference for the TTBC agreed in November 2016 have been released.

Long-Term Fiscal Model
Released 22 Nov 2016. The Treasury has released a new version of its Long-Term Fiscal Model (LTFM) produced for He Tirohanga Mokopuna: 2016 Statement on the Long-Term Fiscal Position. The LTFM is an Excel spreadsheet-based model. Its primary purpose is to produce the 40-year projections of economic and fiscal variables, such as nominal GDP and core Crown net debt, used in the Statements on the Long-Term Fiscal Position.
