The Rugby World Cup has boosted growth in the second half of 2011 but international developments have weakened the economic outlook for the year ending March 2013, despite the Canterbury rebuild. The Treasury expects New Zealand's economic growth in the year ending March 2013 to be lower than forecast in their Pre-election Update.
