The Treasury has released a speech delivered by John Whitehead, Secretary to the Treasury, on Monday 20 July 2009 to Victoria University School of Government seminar at Renouf Foyer, Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington. In this speech John Whitehead has warned that the Public Service would fail the New Zealand public if it doesn’t abandon its traditional comfort zone, lift its productivity and do things differently and more efficiently.
