Good Practice RIS Examples

We will look to add more good examples of RISs to this page periodically. If you come across RISs that you consider deserve a broader audience, please let us know and we can add them here.

The following Regulatory Impact Statements from 2014/15 were identified by independent consultants as examples of good practice.

Identification of a range of impacts and drawing on proxies, qualitative evidence and assumptions where data are not available; description of arrangements for monitoring, review and evaluation:

Effective use of data to explain the current situation and assess the impacts of options; clear distinction between options and impact analysis; use of cost benefit analysis and estimation of likely net benefit of options considered:
