The Treasury will publish a savings discussion document on Wednesday 8 September 2010.
The discussion document, entitled Saving in New Zealand - Issues and Options, aims to assist the recently-established independent Savings Working Group in its work examining options to strengthen national savings.
- Journalists are invited to the 5th Floor of the Treasury, 1 The Terrace, from 2.50pm on Wednesday, 8 September 2010;
- John Whitehead, the Secretary to the Treasury, will arrive at 3pm to give a short presentation and to answer journalists' questions;
- The briefing will conclude by 3.30pm;
- The Treasury’s discussion document is embargoed until 4pm on Wednesday when it will be published on the Treasury's website.
