Review of the Earthquake Commission Act

The Government is inviting submissions on proposed changes to the Earthquake Commission Act. That is the legislation that governs EQC and determines the coverage and other features of the EQC scheme.
The public discussion document, submission template and summary flyer are at the links below. Submitters can open and save their own copy of the submission template, make submissions on any of the proposals they wish, and email it to us at email@example.com
Submissions need to be received by 5.00pm. Friday, 11 September 2015.

Erratum: Table 4: Impact of different excesses on EQC claims numbers and costs was updated on 15 July 2015 to incorporate results of more recent modelling. The modelling results originally summarised in Table 4 were from 2014. That was done to better align the information in Table 4 with the other tables in chapter 8, which already drew on that more recent modelling
