Introduction to the Treasury Policy Perspectives Papers series published by the Treasury between 2005 and 2009.

The Policy Perspectives Papers series has been discontinued.

The current series of research and policy publications published by the Treasury are Working Papers, Analytical Papers and Treasury Papers.

Purpose of the Policy Perspectives Papers Series

Policy Perspectives Papers bring ideas, analysis and empirical research to bear on topical policy issues. They seek to share important insights from economic literature, international policy experience, and Treasury research in a manner that is accessible to non-specialist audiences. The papers do not themselves represent policy advice, nor do they represent the views of the Treasury or the Government. See the Disclaimer for Research and Policy Publications.

See the 2009, 2007, 2006 and 2005 lists of Policy Perspectives Papers that have been published.

Online Publication Only

Please note that these papers are electronic publications. The Treasury does not print or provide printed copies.

Policy Perspectives Papers each have a reference number indicating the year and sequence it was published eg, PP 06/02 was the second Policy Perspectives Paper published in 2006.
