Appointment of Communications Manager

The Treasury has appointed Anna Symmans as its new Communications Manager.

"As Manager of Communications, Anna will play a valuable role assisting the Treasury to strengthen its public communications. At this time of significant state sector change and economic uncertainty it's important that the Treasury is clear and open in its communications," said Cath Atkins, Deputy Secretary for Strategy, Change & Performance.

Anna Symmans has worked in broadcast journalism, as a press secretary to former Finance Minister Hon Ruth Richardson, and as a communications consultant. She replaces Mike Munro, who has moved to Todd Corporation.

Anna joins the current team at the Treasury, which includes Serene Ambler, Angus Barclay, Chris Ritchie and Barbara Gibbons.
