Biography
Gary L Sturgess holds the New South Wales Premier's ANZSOG Chair of Public Service Delivery at the University of NSW. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was Director-General of the NSW Cabinet Office, and played a leading role in the micro-economic reforms of the public sector in that period. From 2000 to 2011, he was Executive Director of the Serco Institute, a corporate think tank based in London, which specialised in the study of public service markets.
