PhD Economics and Statistics North Carolina State University 1994. Adviser -  Arab Planning Institute - Kuwait. Principal Economist DoL New Zealand (2002-2008).  Adviser Reserve Bank of New Zealand (1994-2002). Research fellow Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Economics (2003). Research fellow IGIER Bocconi University - Milan (2003). President New Zealand Association of Economists (2003-2004).  Research Economists at IMF (1991) and World Bank (1993).
