Abstract
Adrian will provide insights into the global economy and trends in institutional investment gained from his role as Chairman of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds, and his involvement in the ‘Inclusive Capitalism’ and ‘Focusing Capital on the Long-Term’ investor initiatives. He will also discuss New Zealand’s resilience to current global challenges and explain the NZ Super Fund’s long-term investment approach, including its focus on responsible investment.

Adrian joined the Guardians in February 2007 from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand where he was Deputy Governor. Adrian has also held the positions of Chief Economist at Westpac Banking Corporation, Chief Manager of the Economics Department of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and Chief Economist at The National Bank of New Zealand. He has also worked at the NZ Treasury and the OECD based in Paris.
Adrian is Chair of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds,Board memberof the Pacific Pension Institute and a member of the Expert Advisory Group for the World Bank's Treasury. He is also a Board Member of the Emory Centerfor Alternative Investments at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia.
