The Treasury has released advice provided to ministers during the preparation of an assistance package for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) facing difficulties in the current economic circumstances.

The Treasury has released the information listed below in response to and in anticipation of requests for information related to the assistance package for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Deletions to Documents
Some of the content of these documents has been deleted where this is:
- considered necessary to protect the privacy of natural persons, including deceased people;
- where the release of information would be likely to unreasonably prejudice the maintenance of a law;
- to protect the confidentiality of advice tendered by Ministers of the Crown and officials; or
- to protect information that is subject to an obligation of confidence, or that was or could be provided under legal compulsion, and where releasing the information would either prejudice the supply of similar information in the future - and it is in the public interest that such information should continue to be supplied - or would damage the public interest in some other way.
Where these deletions have been made, the appropriate reason for deletion has been inserted as a reference.
