Releases of Treasury advice to the Minister of Finance relating to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's (Reserve Bank) foreign reserves and its exchange rate intervention capacity.
There have been information releases by the Treasury on these dates:
- June 2007 Intervention by the Reserve Bank in the New Zealand Dollar Market (30 July 2007) - The Reserve Bank intervened in the New Zealand Dollar market on 11 June 2007. The Treasury has released its briefing note to the Minister of Finance describing the intervention policy that was in place from early 2004 until the end of June 2007.
- Managing Foreign Exchange Risk on Foreign Reserves (13 July 2007) - Advice from the Treasury to the Minister of Finance on the changes adopted by the Reserve Bank to the way it manages its foreign reserves.
- Reserve Bank of New Zealand Exchange Rate Intervention Capacity (30 March 2004) - On 30 March 2004 the Government announced that it supported the Reserve Bank's proposal to broaden its foreign exchange intervention capacity. The Treasury has released its advice to the Minister of Finance on the proposal.
