Bilateral Briefings & Additional Papers Budget 2007 Information Release

Page updated 28 Jun 2007

A bilateral is a meeting held between a Vote Minister (or Ministerial Group) and the Minister of Finance to decide what will be included for their Vote or allocation in the overall Budget package to be considered by Cabinet.

To assist them in their bilateral discussions, departments and the Treasury provide a joint bilateral briefing, which provides advice to the Ministers and is used as an agenda for the bilateral.

Those bilateral briefing papers are listed below in chronological order with some additional papers on health and rail development.
