Guidance for departments and Ministers' offices on all aspects of the Budget process.

The Budget 2010 Process and Technical Guide for Departments is the "How To" guide for people in departments helping to prepare the Budget. It contains information on all aspects of the Budget, the information requirements and links to resources with even more detailed information. The Guide contains an overview of the process in Part 1, which includes links to more detailed guidance in Part 2.

The Budget 2010 Process Overview is primarily targeted at people in departments and Ministers' offices who want a high-level summary of the Budget process. The Overview is the same as Part 1 of the Budget 2010 Process and Technical Guide for Departments.

Note: This guidance supersedes the 2009 guidance which comprised: Budget Process Overview 2009, Budget Process Technical Guide Part 1: Initiatives Phase 2009 and Budget Process Technical Guide Part 2.
