Ministers’ Reports in Relation to Selected Non-departmental Appropriations for the Year Ended 30 June 2014

Page updated 30 September 2014

Section 32A of the Public Finance Act 1989, as it applied to the 2013/14 financial year, required each Minister responsible for a non-departmental appropriation that is listed in an Appropriation Act relating to 2013/14 as being subject to section 32A to provide to the House of Representatives by 30 September 2014 a report on that appropriation containing:

  • a statement of service performance or a statement of the results produced or achieved in relation that appropriation compared with what was expected, and
  • actual expenses or capital expenditure incurred in relation to that appropriation compared with the expenses or capital expenditure that were appropriated or forecast to be incurred.

As the 50th Parliament was dissolved on 14 August 2014 and the 51st Parliament has yet to meet, these reports cannot be presented to the House of Representatives by the due date of 30 September 2014. So that these reports on selected non-departmental appropriations for 2013/14 can be publicly available, the Minister of Finance has agreed to their publication on the Treasury website on 30 September 2014 in advance of their presentation to the House of Representatives once the 51st Parliament meets.

The required reports on these appropriations have been collated and captured in a report for each Vote, as published below.
