This page contains a number of helpful links to further your understanding of the issues and provide ideas for potential solutions.

Your primary sources for the Schools Challenge should be the most recent Long-Term Fiscal Statement, as well as the material presented at the coaching sessions which Treasury staff will run in your area. We also encourage you to look at newspaper articles and other media, as well as the sources provided below, and to talk to your friends, family and teachers about their views on the problem, or to more formally poll these groups for their ideas.

Please remember that any research should be appropriately acknowledged and referenced.

The Australian Intergenerational Reports offer different perspectives on the long-term issues. These can be found at:

The OECD is another useful source for research into a wide array of policy areas (www.oecd.org). The following link offers a non-technical overview of long-term fiscal reports:

The Retirement Commissioner conducts three-yearly reviews of New Zealand's retirement income policies. The 2010 Review of Retirement Income Policy is a long document, so do not feel that you need to read the whole thing, but it may prove another useful source. It can be found at:
