Forecasts - Government Finances

The Treasury's forecasts for Government finances (or fiscal forecasts) are published at least twice a year in Economic and Fiscal Updates (EFUs).

The most recent published forecast is Half Year Economic and Fiscal Update (HYEFU) 2009 published on 15 December 2009 cpnjointly with the Budget Policy Statement (BPS) 2010. See the Fiscal Indicators section for forecast indicators (core Crown revenue, net core Crown debt etc).

The next forecast will be the Budget Economic and Fiscal Update (HYEFU) 2010 to be published conjointly with Budget 2010 at a date in May 2010 yet to be announced.

BEFUs are usually published in May each year; HYEFUs in December.
