New Zealand Economic and Financial Overview 2012

This Economic and Financial Overview provides a description of New Zealand based on information available up to the end of January 2012. Fiscal and economic forecasts are based on the material contained in the Pre-election Economic and Fiscal Update published in October 2011. After the content of the Overview was finalised, the New Zealand Treasury produced a further update of some key fiscal and economic data. This update was published in the Government's Budget Policy Statement on 16 February 2012. A full set of revised forecasts are published in the Government's Budget 2012, published in May.
