Reasons for Change in Appropriation
The decrease to $9.215 million is the result of savings totalling $380,000 being identified and returned to the Crown. The savings result from two areas:
- the secondment of four PCO staff to other government agencies. Those agencies reimbursed the PCO for a proportion of the remuneration costs for those staff
- the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Aid Programme reimbursed the PCO for costs relating to the provision of legislative drafting assistance to Pacific Island nations.
