Reasons for Change in Appropriation
This appropriation increased by $2.377 million to $5.076 million in 2011/12. The increase relates to:
- new funding for increasing the Accident Compensation Choice Work Programme ($2 million)
- an expenditure transfer from 2010/11 for the Accident Compensation Choice Work Programme ($200,000)
- a fiscally neutral realignment of costs to reflect changes in the Department's cost allocation model ($484,000).
This is partially offset by a decrease in funding relating to:
- an expenditure transfer to 2012/13 for the Accident Compensation Choice Work Programme ($300,000)
- a retention of underspends resulting from savings initiatives in corporate functions in 2011/12 to fund the cost of change in the Department ($7,000).
