The Supplementary Estimates of Appropriations
for the Government of New Zealand and Supporting Information for the Year Ending 30 June 2012
Published 24 May 2012
Page updated 23 Nov 2012
The Supplementary Estimates outline the additional expenses and capital expenditure required for the financial year about to end. The Supporting Information is organised on the same basis as the Information Supporting the Estimates and provides reasons for the changes to appropriations during the year and certain additional performance information for new appropriations.
The Public Finance Act 1989 requires that the Supplementary Estimates be laid before the House of Representatives on the introduction of any Appropriation Bill proposing changes to appropriations for a financial year. These Supplementary Estimates accompany the Appropriation (2011/12 Supplementary Estimates) Bill, which is the second Appropriation Bill relating to the 2011/12 financial year.
The Supplementary Estimates provide Members of Parliament with details about changes to:
- appropriations for each Vote
- purpose of appropriations
- Crown revenue and receipts for each Vote.
Votes that do not require any changes to their Estimates of Appropriations have not been included in this document. However, their appropriation details are provided in the summary tables.
Erratum: The printed version of the Supplementary Estimates of Appropriations contains an error on page 306 (Vote Energy). The heading in the table should read Non-Departmental Other Expenses not Non-Departmental Output Expenses - cont'd. The correct files are available from this page.
