Reasons for Change in Appropriation

This appropriation will increase by $100,000 to $1.300 million in 2012/13. The increase reflects the transfer of a forecast 2011/12 underspend of $200,000 redirected to non-departmental output expense Support for Veterans and Their Families. This is combined with an expected reduced demand for ex-gratia payments in 2012/13.
