Overview of the Vote

The Minister of Immigration is responsible for appropriations in the Vote for the 2010/11 financial year covering the following:

Departmental appropriations consisting of:

  • a total of $2.907 million to purchase services to fulfil the statutory functions of the regulatory framework for persons who give immigration advice via the Immigration Advisers Authority
  • a total of $193.510 million to purchase services to increase the capacity of New Zealand through immigration, and
  • a total of $16.899 million to purchase services to position New Zealand as an international citizen with immigration-related interests and obligations.

Non-departmental appropriations consisting of:

  • a total of $2.577 million for the Residence Review Board (RRB), Removal Review Authority (RRA) and Refugee Status Appeals Authority (RSAA) members' salaries, fees and allowances.
