Budget Day - Thursday 20 May 2010
The Minister of Finance, Hon Bill English, has announced that Budget 2010 will be delivered on Thursday, 20 May 2010. Read the Minister's media statement on the Beehive website: Budget on May 20 will deliver growth, jobs (2 February 2010).
Budget Documents
Most Budget documents are tabled in Parliament by the Minister of Finance on Budget Day.
- Budget Policy Statement (BPS) 2010
- Released 15 December 2009. The BPS 2010 sets out the overarching policy goals that will guide the government's Budget decisions and the government's priorities for the forthcoming Budget. BPS 2010 was published conjointly with the Half Year Economic and Fiscal Update (HYEFU) 2009 which contains the Treasury's economic and fiscal forecasts.
