What is the prize?
The writer of the best essay will receive $2,500 towards his or her university fees at a New Zealand university for 2014.
Although a group of finalists will be invited to come to the Treasury and present their analysis, this presentation does not count in determining the winner of the competition.
When will I hear back about how I did?
The Treasury will contact all entrants to the competition in September and tell them:
- Whether they have been awarded the $2,500 scholarship.
- Whether they have been selected as a finalist to come to the Treasury and present their analysis.
When will the winner be announced?
The winner of the competition will be publicly announced in early October, following the finalists’ presentation of their analysis at the Treasury.
