Information about the graduate recruitment programme recruitment process and how to apply.
The recruitment process will give you a chance to show us what you're made of and that you have the skills we look for.
Online application
The first step is to create a user name and password and fill out our online application form. There are a number of screening questions you will need to complete. These questions help us to get an overall picture of your academic background, key skills and work experience. You will also need to attach your cover letter, resume and academic transcript.
You can expect to hear from us within 10 working days of the application closing date.
Skype Interviews
Candidates who are short listed will be invited to an initial Skype interview. Candidates can download Skype here: http://www.skype.com/en/
Online testing
All candidates who are successful in their on-campus interviews will be invited to complete an online numerical, verbal critical reasoning and personality test.
Assessment centre
All candidates who are successful in their online testing will be invited to attend an assessment day at the Treasury. This consists of a group exercise that allows us to observe how people act when working in a team; a written exercise to test written analytical ability; and an interview with a manager or senior analyst to further test analytical and verbal communication skills. We will also provide the opportunity to meet our current Graduate Analysts.
Offer and security clearance process
Successful candidates will be contacted by an HR Advisor to offer you a Graduate Analyst role, commencing in January, with some flexibility for earlier starts. All Treasury employees are required to pass a security clearance. Further details of this will be explained to you during the recruitment process. If you do not complete and pass the relevant background checks, your job offer will be withdrawn.
It is important that you regularly monitor your email throughout these stages to ensure that you are aware of, and respond to, all communication regarding the Graduate Recruitment Programme.
